August 4th & 5th | Newton Johnson Wines

For our next Brunch Club instalment we are thrilled to be joined by Bevan Newton Johnson and some of his favourites from Newtown Johnson Family Vineyards!

‘Private Kitchen,’ a concept first made popular in Hong Kong, is a venture where established chefs – seeking to provide guests with a more intimate experience – host by-appointment dinners in their own homes.

Chef Matt Manning has introduced Private Kitchen to Cape Town, with his monthly Brunch Club! Join him for an intimate, five course brunch prepared and served from his own home, located in the buzzing heart of Cape Town’s CBD.

Each brunch features a different wine farm and winemaker, who will join you at the table to share some of their favourite vintages!

Brunch Club is open to the public and only 12 spots are available per brunch.

For our next Brunch Club instalment we are thrilled to be joined by Bevan Newton Johnson. Newton Johnson Vineyards is owned and managed by the Newton Johnson family. Led by Dave, a Cape Wine Master with a thesis on Pinot Noir, and his wife, Felicity (nee Newton), the Newton Johnson family moved to the Upper Hemel en Aarde Valley in 1995, built a cellar and started planting vines shortly thereafter.

This enthusiasm for wine and Pinot noir in particular, was passed on to and eagerly adopted by his sons, Bevan and Gordon. They in turn have taken this family cellar and vineyards to new heights in exploring the nuances of this grape and their vineyards.

Needless to say this is one brunch club not to be missed!
